Is Trump an Agent of Interest?

The Special Counsel is now looking specifically at whether or not Donald Trump, or those in the highest positions in his campaign knowingly worked with Russian Government entities to affect the presidential election of 1916. Trump spoke several times at his rallies directly to people in various positions to help him. Were these actually requests for assistance that were misconstrued by media and others as campaign rhetoric?

Ask yourself, what IF Trump had made the plea to Russia about Clinton’s emails in a closed room to a few Russians, some of whom were spies, to “release the 30,000 emails….the media will reward you.”? Or his many other remarks supporting Russia and trashing American government agencies? What’s the difference?

If a private citizen had privately revealed classified information to the Russian ambassador, as Trump did in a meeting closed to the press, that person would have been arrested. What’s the real difference? When Trump minimizes the importance of intelligence briefings to him, and says it is false, especially when it relates to Russia, is this “falsifying information” he knows to be true, is that functioning as an “agent of influence,” And if he knows it’s false, has “guilty knowledge of it, and aacts ass an “asset” of a foreign government, is he guilty of espionage?

Add to this overt behavior by Trump the activities of others in his administration and in his campaign staff, and earlier in his activities, where his may have laundered money with Russian banks connected to the Russian government. And finally, the sources of loan money for his businesses after US banks refused to provide loans to them are now being scrutinized as being part of Russia-Gernan Bank transactions that are illegal for US companies to engage in.

The fact that Trump spoke to Russians in public with the knowledge that they were listening, should make no difference if he knew that they would do as he asked does not make it any less a crime. What the Special Counsel must do now, is to show that he DID know, and that his people did, too.
