Trump, Comey and Russia–The Endgame

When I said Trump went “A bridge too far” by firing Comey, and using a bogus reason, I wondered how long it would take for Comey to respond.
The Russian issue was the basis of Trump’s firing of Comey. It is fitting, and ironic, that Trump’s {alarming) release of classified information to the RUSSIANS gave Comey the perfect circumstance to “hit Trump with the truth.”
The public is already alerted to TRUMP DID SOMETHING, AGAIN, “siding with the RUSSIANS” AGAIN just multiplies the outrage, and to many “proves” that Trump fears them.

The big issue NOW is incompetence. He “cannot be trusted”, even when he does NOT intend to do something wrong. Eventually, even the Republicans who STILL defend him (to protect themselves, not out of principle–there are none) will have had enough. At the least, HE CAN’T APPOINT A REPUBLICAN TO RUN THE FBI–even Republicans will not stand for that.

The lies will continue, but Comey has yet to be CAUGHT ONCE–Trump has been PROVEN TO LIE over 500 times!!! Who is to be believed.
Of course, there are a few who believe that Republicanism is a religion, and so will remain in denial. Others who voted for Trump are, like him, unable to believe that they could have been wrong.

Fortunately, MOST people remain beyond the worst aspects of “believing”—that once they “COMMIT” THEY CANNOT CHANGE. Trump’s campaign and victory (though despite losing the vote by 3 million) is, we can hope, a lesson to ALL REAL AMERICANS ABOUT HOW FRAGILE ANY DEMOCRACY CAN BE. And, resolve NOT to let it happen again.

HOW this can be repaired is not happening and has yet to be determined. It’s not over, we are not safe, yet!
